GPSPursuit has entered into agreement with Trimble Navigation Limited to offer the remarkable Lasso TT vehicle tracking unit. This unit combines worldwide GSM cellular communications with Trimble GPS location technology to provide periodic location reports (automatically or on demand). The tracking unit delivers a reliable, power-efficient, cost-effective solution for a wide range of situations that only need infrequent or occasional position updates. The unit is particularly suited to vehicle security, monitoring and recovery.

For power consumption and communications efficiency, the tracking unit is preconfigured to sleep/ wake-up/ report while-in-motion at preset intervals/ report status while-not-in-motion/ etc. Position and status reports are sent as SMS text messages over a GSM network to GPSPursuit's servers. The End-User communicates (send/ receive) with the unit (and servers) via the Internet (using GPSPursuit's iPursuit® Web Application).

The Lasso TT is a compact, light-weight, battery-operated, easy-to-install packaged unit. No other connection to external power supply, antenna or other devices is required. The unit can be connected to vehicle power using the optional Vehicle Adapter Module that replaces the standard battery pack.
